Exciting Times At Rockpool Residential Aged Care

We’re proud to share that construction has officially begun on our newest Rockpool home in Kedron, marking an exciting milestone as we continue to grow and deliver modern aged care across Queensland.

This new development represents a $70 million investment into creating a place where people can truly feel at home. It forms part of our broader vision to build environments that support not just care, but connection, independence and quality of life.

Designed Around People and Community

Our Kedron home has been carefully designed to reflect how we believe aged care should feel.

Rather than large, institutional environments, the home will be made up of smaller, connected communities, each centered around shared living and dining spaces. This approach helps create a more familiar, welcoming atmosphere where residents can build relationships and feel part of something meaningful.

Every detail has been considered, from private rooms / high end suites through to communal areas, with a focus on comfort, functionality and a genuine sense of home.

Supporting Everyday Living

At Rockpool, we believe aged care should support people to continue living well, not just receive care.

That’s why the Kedron home will include a range of spaces and features designed around everyday life, including:

• Domestic kitchens for shared cooking experiences
• Landscaped gardens, walking paths and outdoor BBQ areas
• A hobby shed, wellness and vitality centre, and hair and beauty salon
• An onsite café for residents, families and the wider community

These spaces are designed to encourage connection, activity and independence in a way that feels natural and familiar.

Looking Ahead

With construction now underway, we’re looking forward to seeing the Kedron home take shape over the coming months.

This development sits alongside our upcoming Northshore Hamilton home and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality aged care environments across the region, welcoming residents in October 2026.
